Counseling at The Bonding Corner can be held entirely in Urdu with psychologist Zahid Sohail, as well as in Punjabi or English. Sessions run by video call, audio call or WhatsApp text. Individual sessions are Rs. 2,000 for 60 minutes and couple sessions Rs. 3,000 for 90 minutes, after a free 10-minute call.

Why it matters
Why language matters in counseling
Counseling runs on precise description, and precision usually lives in the language you grew up arguing and apologising in. People describing a family situation in a second language often produce a flatter, tidier version of it than the one they actually live in.
Words for obligation, shame, respect and duty carry weight in Urdu and Punjabi that their English equivalents do not. Keeping the original word saves a paragraph of explanation and keeps the meaning intact.
How it works in practice
No formal choice is needed at booking; it can change as you go.
- Full sessions in Urdu, Punjabi or English.
- Switching mid-sentence is normal and expected.
- No interpreter, and no third person in the room.
- Text chat plans on WhatsApp can be written in Urdu or Roman Urdu.

The fee does not change with language. An individual session is Rs. 2,000 for 60 minutes, a couple session Rs. 3,000 for 90 minutes, and text chat plans start at Rs. 1,000 for seven days. The first 10-minute call is free.

Questions, answered
Questions people ask.
Can I have counselling in Urdu?
Yes. Sessions can be held entirely in Urdu, and Punjabi and English are also available. You can switch language mid-session if a topic is easier to describe in another language.
Is counseling available fully in Urdu?
Yes. Sessions run entirely in Urdu if you prefer, including the free introductory call. You can also move between Urdu, Punjabi and English within the same session.
Does counseling work better in your own language?
Most people describe feelings more precisely in the language they think in. Working in Urdu removes the extra step of translating an experience before you can describe it.
Can I book the introductory call in Urdu?
Yes. Say which language you want when you book and the free 10-minute call starts in it, rather than spending the first minutes settling the question.
Is the price different for Urdu sessions?
No. The price is the same in every language: Rs. 2,000 for a 60-minute individual session and Rs. 3,000 for a 90-minute couple session.
