An online session at The Bonding Corner starts with a free 10-minute introductory call. You then book a time, pay, and receive a joining link. Sessions run 60 minutes for individuals or 90 minutes for couples by video or audio, in English, Urdu or Punjabi, from any private room with a stable connection.

The route
The five steps, start to finish
The free introductory call
Ten minutes, for first-time clients, before any payment. Ask about format, language, availability and cost. No history is required and there is no obligation to continue.
Choosing a format and a time
Individual (60 minutes), couple (90 minutes) or a WhatsApp text plan. If you are outside Pakistan, the time is confirmed in your own time zone before anything is paid.
Payment and confirmation
Payment confirms the appointment. Until you have a confirmation, the time is not reserved. A message asking for a time is an enquiry, not a booking.
Joining the session
You receive a joining link for the agreed time. Video or audio, from any room where you will not be interrupted.
After the session
You decide whether to book again. There is no automatic follow-up sequence and no requirement to commit to a course of sessions.
Your side
What do you need at your end?
Less than people expect. A phone, tablet or laptop with a working microphone, headphones if anyone else is home, and a connection stable enough for audio. Video is optional throughout.
If your connection is unreliable, say so at the start. Switching to audio early is better than losing ten minutes of the session to reconnecting.
Privacy at your end
The practice controls its side. The room you sit in is yours to arrange.
- A door that closes, or a car, or a time when the house is empty
- Headphones, so only your side of the conversation is audible
- A device that is not shared, or a browser history you are comfortable with
- If none of that is possible, a WhatsApp text plan may fit better
What a first session is like
Mostly questions, at a normal conversational pace. What brought you, how long it has been going on, what you have already tried, and what you want to be different. Nothing has to be explained well, and you can say that you would rather not discuss something yet.
It ends with a view on whether continuing is likely to be useful, which is a genuine question and sometimes answered with a referral elsewhere.
What happens in the first session covers this in more detail.

What the research says
- A 2018 systematic review comparing guided internet-based and face-to-face cognitive behavioural therapy found the two formats gave broadly equivalent results, while noting more research is still needed for some conditions. [1]
- Talking therapies involve speaking with a trained professional about your thoughts, feelings and behaviour, and are used for a wide range of difficulties. [2]

Questions, answered
Questions people ask.
How does online counselling work, step by step?
You book a free 10-minute introductory call, agree a format and time, pay, and receive a joining link. Individual sessions run 60 minutes and couple sessions 90 minutes, by video or audio, from any private room with a stable connection.
What do I need at my end?
A phone, tablet or computer, headphones, a stable internet connection and a room where you will not be interrupted. Audio-only is available if bandwidth is limited.
What is a red flag in counselling?
Warning signs include pressure to buy a long package up front, promises of a cure, dismissal of your questions about qualifications, and vague answers about privacy or fees.
What do I need for an online session?
A phone or computer, a working internet connection and a room where you will not be overheard. Audio-only sessions need far less bandwidth than video.
What happens if my connection drops mid-session?
Reconnect, or switch to audio if the line is poor. If the connection cannot be restored, contact the practice by WhatsApp so the remaining time can be arranged.
How do I join my session?
Joining details are sent to you after the appointment is confirmed. You do not need to install anything unusual, and you can ask for the audio option instead of video.
Can I attend from another country?
Yes. Sessions are online, and the practice works with Pakistanis living abroad. Say which time zone you are in when you book so the slot means the same thing to both sides.
Do I need to be alone in the room?
For an individual session, yes, as far as you can manage. Privacy depends on both sides, and the value of the hour drops if you are editing yourself because someone is listening.
