Online counseling in Pakistan at The Bonding Corner means a scheduled private session with psychologist Zahid Sohail by video call, audio call or WhatsApp text. Individual sessions are Rs. 2,000 for 60 minutes and couple sessions Rs. 3,000 for 90 minutes. A free 10-minute introductory call comes first.

Formats
Which format suits you?
All three are the same psychologist. The difference is how you talk and how much privacy your home allows.
Video or audio call
A scheduled session by video or audio. Individual sessions run 60 minutes, couple sessions 90 minutes. Audio only is a normal choice, not a lesser one, and it uses far less bandwidth.
Rs. 2,000 individual · Rs. 3,000 couple

You write when you can and receive replies within an agreed window on agreed days. It suits a shared house where a spoken session would be overheard. It is not a live chat and not a crisis line.

What is online counseling?
Counseling is a structured conversation with a psychologist about a pattern you want to understand or change. Online counseling is the same conversation held over a call or in writing, so the hour does not depend on traffic, a waiting room or being seen walking into a clinic.
At The Bonding Corner that conversation is with Zahid Sohail, who holds an MSc and a PGD in Applied Psychology and has more than 15 years in practice. You speak to the same person each time.
What it is not
Being clear about the limits is part of the service, not a disclaimer at the bottom of the page.
- Not a prescription service. A psychologist does not prescribe or adjust medication; that belongs with a psychiatrist or physician.
- Not a crisis line. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a hospital emergency department now.
- Not a promise of an outcome. Counseling can help you examine a pattern. It cannot guarantee a result or a fixed number of sessions.
- Not a replacement for medical assessment where symptoms are severe, sudden or worsening.

Who is it for, and who is it not for?
Online counseling suits adults dealing with low mood, constant worry, sustained pressure, anger they regret, or a relationship pattern that keeps returning. It suits people who want to think something through with someone who is not part of the situation.
It is a poor fit in a few specific situations, and saying so is more useful than taking the booking.
- If you are in immediate danger or thinking about ending your life, this is not the right service. Contact local emergency services or go to a hospital emergency department.
- If symptoms are severe, worsening quickly, or involve losing touch with reality, medical assessment comes first.
- If someone in the home is being hurt, safety arrangements come before counseling work.
- If you need a formal diagnosis, a medical certificate or medication, you need a psychiatrist or physician.
Counseling can continue alongside medical care, and many people use both.
The session is held in the language you think in.
Sessions run in English, Urdu or Punjabi, and you can move between them mid-sentence. Describing a family situation is hard enough without translating it first.

What the research says
- A 2018 systematic review comparing guided internet-based and face-to-face cognitive behavioural therapy found the two formats gave broadly equivalent results, while noting more research is still needed for some conditions. [1]
- Most people living with a mental health condition do not receive effective care. Only about one in three people with depression gets formal mental health care. [2]

Questions, answered
Questions people ask.
Can counselling be done online?
Yes. Counseling can be delivered by video call, audio call or text. At The Bonding Corner sessions run by video, audio or WhatsApp text in English, Urdu or Punjabi. Online delivery suits ongoing concerns rather than emergencies.
How much does online counselling cost in Pakistan?
At The Bonding Corner an individual session is Rs. 2,000 for 60 minutes and a couple session is Rs. 3,000 for 90 minutes. WhatsApp text plans start at Rs. 1,000 for seven days. First-time clients get a free 10-minute introductory call.
Do I need to switch on my camera?
No. Sessions can be held with audio only if you prefer, or over WhatsApp text. Tell the practice your preferred format when you book so the session is set up correctly.
Is online counselling as private as meeting in person?
Privacy depends on both sides. The practice keeps session content confidential within the limits set out in its privacy policy, and you need a room where you will not be overheard. Text chat leaves a record on your own phone.
Which counseling format should I choose?
Video suits most people. Audio only suits low bandwidth or a household where a video call is conspicuous. WhatsApp text suits people who cannot reliably find a private hour to speak out loud.
How do I book a session?
Single sessions and the free introductory call are booked through the calendar on their own pages. Session packages and text-chat plans are bought through checkout.
Is online counseling suitable for a crisis?
No. This is not an emergency service. If there is immediate danger to you or someone else, contact emergency services now. Counseling suits ongoing concerns rather than emergencies.
Can I switch between formats later?
Yes. People move between video, audio and text as their circumstances change. Say what you want when you book each session rather than committing to one format.
