This policy explains what The Bonding Corner collects when you enquire, book or pay, who can see it, how long it is kept and the limits of confidentiality in counseling. It remains a draft until retention periods, processors and legal requirements are confirmed and reviewed.

Questions, answered

Questions people ask.

Is what I say in a session confidential?

Session content is confidential, and nothing is reported to your family, employer or insurer. Confidentiality can be set aside only where there is a serious and immediate risk to life, a risk to a child, or a legal order. Then only what is necessary is shared, and you are told unless telling you would increase the risk.

What information do you collect when I book?

Booking collects what is needed to arrange the appointment and take payment where one is due. The full list of what is stored, and for how long, is set out in this policy.

Are sessions recorded?

Recording is not part of how sessions are run here. If you have a specific concern about recording, raise it before booking rather than assuming either way.

Who else can see my information?

The practice is run by one psychologist, so there is no internal team with routine access. Payment and booking are handled by third-party systems, which this policy names.

What about WhatsApp messages?

WhatsApp messages leave a record on your own device as well as reaching the practice, which matters if other people use your phone. Delete your own copy if that is a concern.
